 Animals: Are prohibited in all rented accomodation but allowed for campers. An up-to-date vaccination certificate has to be produced on arrival. The owner is responsible for keeping them under control and on a lead. All dogs must be taken off site to do their business and toilet bags used.

 Tourist tax: During the months of April, May, June, July, August and September, visitors have to pay the local tourist tax of 0,44 € per day per person as from the age of 13.

Tour de France 2009

The 8th July 2009, the very famous TOUR DE FRANCE race went past LA ROSERAIE. The atmosphere was so exciting and entertainment from all children and adults was guaranteed. Customers booked their holiday expecially to be on our site during the event to have the "best seats". It was a very special day to all who were present and memories will stay engraved for a very long time, if not forever.

THE YELLOW TRAIN

The yellow train with its ‘sang et or' (red and yellow) colours is the symbol of the catalan region. It has been running through the Têt valley for more than 90 years, between Villefranche (427m) and Latour de Carol (1231m) via Bolquère (1593m), Europe highest station. It goes through the mountains and make you discover Mont-Louis, Font Romeu from Villefranche de Conflent. If you travel in the open carriages, you will be able to admire spectacular sceneries.

VILLEFRANCHE de CONFLENT

ramparts of Villefranche de Conflent : military imperatives explain the foundation of the town in 1090. The ramparts underwent restructuring and modification until the 19th century; The high wall of Villefranche de Conflent present some originality because they wonderfully fit in the defile blocking the Têt valley. Over several centuries bastions were added to the walls to remedy its defence weakness. Fort Liberia : Guarding and peering over Villefranche, this monument was built by Vauban in 1681 and fortified under Napoléon III between 1850 et 1856. (Wall walks, counterscarp galleries, underground prisons, chapel, bastions, oven for bread…)

MONT LOUIS

Is among the most beautiful examples of town-citadel designed by Vauban at the altitude of 1600m. It was a remarkable place to have the world's first solar furnace built. You can explore the fascinating world of energy from sunlight and its non-polluting applications. The highest fortified town in France Mont-Louis was built in 1681 under the Vauban plans when Louis XIV was king of France.. The ramparts and streets such as Vauban have imagined them are still visible. The church (1733), The Dagobert and Gilles' monuments, The solar oven are reckoned with the visit of the city.

CASTELNOU and it's castle

The village of Castelnou is a medieval village founded in the 11th century which has been listed among the most beautiful villages in France. Overlooking the village, the château is the most archaic example of medieval fortress remaining in Roussillon;

Tautavel Museum; It is in this small village that the famous'Homme de Tautavel' (450000years old) was discovered. It represents one of the most important deposits in the world. The museum shows unique prehistoric collections highlighted by the newest technologies of prehistoric museum.

Our kid's club provides numerous activities for all your sweet cherups and the weekly calendar is put up on the notice board outside the club. When the children are happy and occupied ; so are we parents ! The club is free of charge and is for children from the age of 5 to 12.
